I have rather painful periods myself, and am thinking about trying it...even though Mike is vasectomized and I really don't need birth control anymore.
My advice:
1. Aleve works far better than ibuprofren (which is pretty much what Midol is) for the cramps.
2. Those Therma-Care heat wraps really DO work. I first tried them for my back problems, but the ones for menstrual cramps work just as well.
