Tomorrow's the Day
Tomorrow my dad goes in to get his kidney removed. Best case scenario: His cancer hasn't spread and everything will be fine. Worst case: I can't even think about it.
His surgery is around 10:00 and should take about three hours. He'll have to spend some time in recovery too but hopefully that won't take too long.
Christine said she'll swing by and take me to lunch or dinner and then I might meet some friends downtown at Sambuca. God knows I'll need a drink by then.
If you don't mind, continue to send good thoughts our way. They're really appreciated, even if I haven't e-mailed anyone back yet (I haven't been spending too much time on the computer except to work lately).
