Blonder and Blonder
I forgot to mention, but I got my hair cut yesterday (about four inches) and got more blonde highlights, very light blonde ones for the spring/summer season. It feels so nice to be rid of the nasty split ends that I had and I love the the little light blonde streaks around my face.

Sounds bee-you-tee-ful! :)
I've been contemplating highlights. I've never had them before, but it sure sounds like fun :) I have a natural reddish tint to my hair, but getting some fun redder curls coming down from the the top and around my face... how cool! :) (and maybe, I'm just watching Makeover story too much and its making me want them even more LOL!)

Relax...
As with most Fridays, I am glad that it is the end of the work week. I look forward to two days with nothing to do but screw around. No late nights at the office, no wondering if a deadline is going to be met, nothing at all to do. My biggest worry this weekend will be trying to locate some rasperry puree so that my piña coladas take like raspberries. It seems like the local Randall's quit carrying it (bastards!). Anyone know where to buy any?

Just get the frsh fruit, leave it in the freezer a bit to harden, and then stick it in a mini-cuisinart. Best when fruits are combined, like raspberry and strawberries.
Sure, fresh is expensive, but remember: YOU'RE WORTH IT!

Don't forget to stop in at Randall's and ask them for some. The *will* get things on request, I have done it before myself. And who knows, maybe they just moved it to a different spot in the store!

Friday Five!
And now, time for today's Friday Five!
1. What are the first things that you do in the morning to start your day? I have a boring morning routine on the weekdays. I get up between 8:00 and 8:30, I use the bathroom, brush my teeth, put on make-up, get dressed, take my morning pills, and leave for work. On the weekend, I really have more of a "late afternoon" routine (since I don't get up until after 1:00 or 2:00). That involves getting up, going to the bathroom, brushing my teeth, grabbing a Coke, and getting online. Much more fun.
2. What are the last things that you do at night before going to bed? Besides showering and brushing my teeth, I like to read in bed while my hair dries. It helps me get to relax and get to sleep.
3. What daily routine have you recently added to your day? Ever since seeing the gastroenterologist (or the scope doctor, as I like to call him) taking Prevacid every morning. That's about it.
4. What routine do you wish you get rid of? Going to work! ;-)
5. What's the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing if you don't do it some point within your day? If I don't get online and check my mail, I feel truly strange. Have to be on the computer at some point in time.

Thursday Threesome
Since I was down on Thursday, here's Deb's Thursday Threesome a bit late.
Onesome. Love. Ever felt that "unconditional love?" Tell us about it. Maybe with my evil ex-fiance whom I refer to as Satan, but I've forgotten why I would have ever felt that way about him. He was a complete ass when we broke up. Fucker.
Twosome. Labors. What was your first paying job (not counting baby-sitting)? If you don't count typing documents for my uncle, my first real job was working at a grocery store call Food Basket when I was a senior in high school. We called it Food Bucket, or The Bucket for short, and it was the worst place to work. The management sucked, the pay sucked, and we had turtles and snakes in the scary hell-like back of the store. Yuck.
Threesome. Lost. Have a knack for losing things? Is there something you lose "all the time?" I lose stuff all the time. I'm forever going, "Honey, have you seen my glasses, my book, my whatever?" I'm really bad about taking my contacts out before finding my glasses. I'm then completely blind and have no shot in hell of locating them if there aren't on the sink or my nightstand.

This-or-That Tuesday
Time for Ashley's This-or-That Tuesday (even though it's Friday. Got to make up for lost blogging time!):
- For gals: Panties -- Thongs, bikinis, or briefs?
Bikinis, for the most part, though thongs some times. I used to wear thongs constantly, but I've gotten away from that over the last couple of years.
- For guys: Briefs, boxers, or boxer briefs?
Steven wears briefs most of the times, but he wears boxer briefs too. I think boxer briefs are the best underwear that a guy can wear.
- Movable Type, Blogger, or Greymatter?
Movable Type all the way, baby! Movable Type totally rocks!
- Rabbits or hamsters?
Hamsters! I had a russian dwarf hamster named Quicksilver when I was in college and he was the cutest thing. Every time I go into a pet store, I really want another one.
- Electric or gas home?
Electric. I would probably blow a gas home up.
- Mud between your toes: comforting or disgusting?
Disgusting, but I do love wet sand between my toes.
- Question mark or exclamation point?
Exclamation point!
- Is it hot where you live? Yes or no?
Usually, since I live in Texas. Today, though, no.
- Is your monitor currently dusty? Yes or no?
No. I try to keep my monitor very clean.
- Would you rather have an abundance of love, sex, or money in your life?
Love.

It's a Group Thing: Part V
My blog was down Wednesday, so I'll post this week's "It's a Group Thing" now.
Davezilla and friends were coming up with their own terms and I really liked their "An Eh of Canadians." Since I'm not Canadian, but I am Scots/Irish, today's group term is:
A Fifth of Scots
