Working Up a Sweat
I just got done using my new StairMaster FreeClimber 4600 PT for the first time and let me tell you, it kicks ass! I did forty minutes while watching an episode of The X-Files that I had taped and it was great. I'm still getting used to its levels, so I only burned about 300 calories (usually I burn 230 in twenty minutes) but it is so nice to watch what I want on the tv and not have tons of people around. Very relaxing, in a weird kind of way. I'm starving now, so I am off to get some dinner.

stairmasters rock, easy on the knees. don't sweat that little readout telling you how many calories you burned, that doesnt matter, it boosts the metabolism for hours afterwards. besides, if you can watch the x-files while working out.. so much the better!

Enjoying the Day
Christine and I went to James Coney Island for lunch today (Yummy!) and after we got done eating we decided to go Wal-Marting. Steven and I leave in ten days for our annual trip to Las Vegas (I can't wait!), but we have no luggage of our own. We always borrow from our parents, which bugs the crap out of me, so I figured it's high time we got our own. While looking for luggage (and finding a nice five piece set for $80), Christine and I found flowers for our desks at work (we actually sit right next to each other and share a common desk area). I bought twenty beautiful Lipstick roses for $15 and she bought some lovely daises. Our desks look so nice! I also got Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure on DVD for just under $10 and we bought a new beta fish since Christine's fish Pixel looks like he is getting ready to move on to the great fishbowl in the sky. All in all, we had a nice lunch and fun shopping. Mikey, I think Christine may even have some pictures to post! :-)

Yeah, not exactly "our desks" as it is "our uni-desk zone". But looking at YOU all day out of the corner of my eye is just as beautiful as having flowers here. Awwwww...

Ok, she just read that (because I told her to) and snorted as she laughed. Hmmm... I may have to rethink that.

*warm smile* funny... [Cristine's last comment]
So that's is what they are called! I always knew I liked them but I could never recall what those roses were named.

Thursday Threesome
Time for Deb's Thursday Threesome!
Onesome: Red. Color me passionate...what are you passionate about? Lots of things, but mostly stuff like abortion rights, gay rights, and other liberal causes.
Twosome: White. Color me truthful...or is it little white lies? What's the last "little white lie" that's come from your mouth (or keyboard)? I can't really remember, but it was probably something along the line of telling someone they looked good in something they don't. I hate to tell someone that they look bad if they love their outfit. They're happy, so what does it hurt? Usually, though, I am very truthful.
Threesome: Blue. Color me with music...what one piece of music really speaks to you? God, there is so much music that really speaks to me. The first one that comes to mind right now is "Winter" by Tori Amos.
He says...
When you gonna make up your mind
When you gonna love you as much as I do
When you gonna make up your mind
Cause things are gonna change so fast
All the white horses are still in bed
I tell you that I'll always want you near
You say that things change, my dear
Lots of Tori's music speaks to me. When I had just gotten out of a very self-destructive relationship her music helped me learn to stand on my own and to understand that I AM worth quite a lot. Her music helped me find my own way.

Stupid Idiot
I just had a client call me. A client who I've been trying to get to return my call since December so we can work on his site. He proceeds to say that he wants us to finish the programming immediately because he "doesn't want us dragging this out." If he would have been speaking to me in person, I would have gone for his throat. Die, you bastard, die!

If you think he's bad now, just wait until it's time for him to pay the invoice.

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away
Love Star Wars (even though the last movie sucked)? Bet you've never seen it in ASCIImation (animation done in ASCII characters) before. It was fun, but still not as fun as Star Dudes which is the whole Star Wars movie done in Flash in under five minutes. (It even keeps Mark Hamil's blooper at the end.) Enjoy and may the Force be with you!
