Ooops! Tibbar, Tibbar!
With the evil, cursed machine crashing last night, I completely forgot it was a new month and that I was supposed to say, "Rabbit, rabbit." I think I'll say "Tibbar, tibbar," in five minutes and try to remember it when I actually go to bed in about two hours.

Surfing The Web
w00t! I was able to log in as the administrator on my computer, and while my normal profile is jacked, at least I can get online again! My mom jokingly asked if I wanted to cancel my Dell order. No way! I've wanted a new computer basically since I got this one, so I am glad that I have the new one coming next week.

Comments, Anyone?
Following in Christine's footsteps, I wanted to encourage everyone that wanders in here to feel free to make comments on the posts. I know some people are shy and others feel like people would read their posts and go, "Who are they? Why are they posting here?"
Seriously, I put the little comment pop-up on this blog so that anyone could say anything back to me whether they agree, disagree, or just want to say hi. Never feel like you can't say something on this site. I do value the comments I get and I am happy to find new readers and new sites.
(putting on her stewardess voice) "Thank you for visiting The Neurotic Fishbowl! Enjoy your stay!"

The Bad News and The Good News
My home computer is a machine that one of Steven's friends built. It has had problems since the day I bought it. It locks up at least ten times a day causing me to reboot. Last night, for some reason, when I login, I get the Windows start-up music, but everything else is missing. No icons, no task bar, nothing. Clicking the mouse doesn't do anything. Control-Alt-Delete doesn't do anything. I tried starting it up in safe mode and get the same thing only with a black screen and the words "Safe Mode - Microsoft Windows." I have no idea what to do, unless I can get help from one of my readers or the tech guys at work.
Now for the good news. I bought a new computer. Yeah! It's a Dell and the specs are as follows:
Dimension 4400 Series,Pentium 4 Processor at 1.7 GHz
Memory: 512MB DDR SDRAM
Keyboard: Dell Enhanced Quiet Key Keyboard
Monitors: Video Ready w/o Monitor
Video Cards: 64MB NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 4X AGP Graphics Card with TV-Out
Hard Drive: 80GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive
Floppy Drive: 3.5 in Floppy Drive
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Mouse: MS IntelliMouse
Network Card: 10/100 PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
Modem: 56K PCI Data Fax Modem for Windows
CD or DVD Drive: 48x Max Variable CD-ROM
Sound Card: SB Live! Digital Sound Card
Speakers: New Harman Kardon HK-206 Speakers
Software Bundles: Microsoft Works Suite 2002 with Money 2002 Standard
Zip Drives: 250MB Iomega Zip Built-in Drive with One Disk
Digital Photography: Dell Picture Studio,Image Expert 2000 Standard Edition
Limited Warranty, Services and Support Options: 2Yr Ltd. Warranty- 2Yrs At-Home Service + 2Yrs Phone Support
Secondary CD or DVD Drive: 40x/10x/40x CD-RW Drive with Roxio's Easy CD Creator
I didn't really want to spend the money right now, but I am so damn tired of it locking up and running badly that last night was the last straw. It should ship by this Saturday, so I should have it by next week. I guess I'll have to take my mom up on her offer of a loaner computer after all!

There's your problem. You need to get a real OS like RedHat Linux. ;-)
